To be able to check a person’s ICQ status, you’ll need to have a AOL screen name first. Follow the easy steps below to get one.

1. Visit AIM Screen Name website. Select “Create a Screen name” and click on Continue button.

2. Fill up all the required informations and click on Submit button.
3. If your form is complete, it will display a congratulations page and asking you to download AIM.
4. Close the congratulations page, launch NIC, enter your AIM screen name and Password, and click on Sign on button.
5. You should see a message “Successfull logon!” after clicking the Sign on button. Finally is to enter your friend’s ICQ number and click on the Check button.
