Let’s take a break for a day and watch this cool video that mEtRiX and In-f3st has created! It’s called Take that n00b!!1 – Fraps. Trust me, you are going to love it! I think this video was created because of this Fraps not running problem.

    To the Raymond Mobile!

  • Cheaper by the Dozen 2, the movie

Cheaper by the Dozen 2, the movie
CinemaOnline has 3.5 out of 5 stars for this movie and IMDb currently has 4.4 out of 10 from 1,201 votes. For me, I’d personally give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars. I don’t know why is this movie rated lower than I expected, but I kinda liked this movie. It’s entertaining, funny and also shows how important a happy family is. A few of my friends told me that this is a nice movie as well. So go watch before this movie stops screening at cinema.

Cheaper by the Dozen 2, the movie

    Synopsis

  • The Pink Panther movie

Last moment went to the cinema to watch any movies yesterday and ended up buying The Pink Panther movie tickets because the good seats are still available. From young, I always thought that the Pink Panther is actually a pink coloured panther detective. After watching this movie, I was wrong. It has NOTHING to do with a panther!
The Pink Panther movieThe Pink Panther movie
CinemaOnline gave this movie 4 out of 5 stars and IMDb has a total of 4.7 out of 10 from 2,239 votes. Looks like Malaysians liked the stupidity of Inspector Jacques Clouseau where the rest of the world don’t really think so.
I must admit that the second half of the show is better than the starting. IMHO, it’s a watchable movie…

    Synopsis of The Pink Panther
In this new Inspector Clouseau adventure, the incompetent French detective (Martin) investigates the murder of the nation’s soccer team coach while also looking into the disappearance of the famous Pink Panther diamond, the national treasure of the nation of Lugash.

Steve Martin certainly did a great job in this movie. If you watched Cheaper By The Dozen and Father Of The Bride before, you’ll know that he can really act. The beautiful Beyonce Knowles is also one of the cast in this movie.

P/S: I didn’t know that French had problems saying HAMBURGER! 😀 I think that was the funniest part of the movie.

  • Peter Jackson’s King Kong, the movie

Peter Jackson's King Kong, the movie
Peter Jackson’s movie, King Kong, I’d say is one of the best movie I’ve ever watched. The effects were very good and everything looked so real! Not only that, this movie has some part that is so touching that can make a girl cry. CinemaOnline has 4.5 out of 5 stars for this movie and IMDb currently has 8.1 out of 10 from 1,805 votes. For me, I’d personally give this movie a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Peter Jackson's King Kong, the movie

    Synopsis
While filming on location at the mysterious Skull Island (near Sumatra) a group of filmmakers discover a giant gorilla named Kong, living in a massive jungle where creatures from prehistoric times have been protected and hidden for millions of years. As they search for the great ape, their quest puts them up against both Kong and his dinosaur enemies. Ultimately, it is the attention of a beautiful human woman (Naomi Watts) that soothes Kong long enough for him to be subdued and shipped back to New York, where his bleak future involves being put on display in front of humans… but how long can even the mightiest shackles of man hold back an ape 25 feet tall?

A movie that must be watched, especially in cinema to really feel the effects. Frankly speaking, I wasn’t so interested in this movie at first and didn’t even plan when to watch this movie. So happened that my friend was sick and asked me whether I’d like to have his tickets. Well, what else? I just took it, watched it and never regret doing that. I think the DVD will start selling after 3-6 months time and I’d definately get one. Maybe there is an extended uncut version such as Lord Of The Rings where the movie will be more than 3 hours.

Take note that this movie is 3 hours and 8 minutes long.

  • How To Create DVD from Downloaded Movie Files

Create DVD from movieThis is a tutorial written by SpaceGoat on creating DVDs from downloaded movies files. I found this tutorial useful and thought of sharing it out. It is for your knowledge and it doesn’t have to be pirated movie files!

    Notes from SpaceGoat:

I have used many, many diferent programs for creating DVDs but these are the programs I aways come back to. This is by no means the only way this can be done.

You will need the programs listed below. As the tutorial goes on, I will explain how each program plays its part.

These two program run in the background all the time.

  • Patin-couffin: is required device I/O interface for various application.
  • AnyDVD: works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it’s inserted into the drive. (Most of the movies you download has the protection removed already)
  • ConvertXtoDVD and Movie DVD Maker are used to turn files into DVD format (VOB) so they can be burn to blank DVDs.

  • ConvertXtoDVD: With this program you can add chapters and a simple start menu. I use it because I like the results. Use this if the movie is in one part.
  • Movie DVD Maker: This is a plain jane output. No chapters. No start menu. Just movie. Can be used to join movie parts (sometimes they are in two or more parts) The thing I don’t like about this program is that it forces you to insert blank DVD before it will start the process. You can eject blank DVD after it starts. I always view final output before burning. The main thing to look for is voice sync. I don’t want to the mouth moving and nothing comes out.
  • DVD X Player 4.0 Pro: Use to view movie files
  • Nero 6 Ultra Edition: You should know what this programs does. For this tutorial it is used so you can burn your DVDs with DVD Shrink.
  • DVD Shrink 3.2: This is one of the best DVD ripping program ever made. You have to have Nero 6 installed to burn DVDs with DVD Shrink 3.2. It will not work with Nero 7 but what does?
  • The above programs are used by SpaceGoat to burn 99% of all his DVDs.

    Making DVDs
    1. Extract file, it will usually be in .avi or DivX format. If its in any other format I don’t waste my time with it. Also if the movie is watermarked, I don’t use it. I don’t want to watch a movie with some lame groups watermark on it.

The file size should be over 700MB and up for better video quality. The idea is to get a good quality DVD so file format and size are important. I HATE wasting blank DVDs!!

    2. You want to view movie to see if its worth burning or not. Lots of Cam movies SUCK. DVD ripped are usually good quality but not always. Always check for visual and sound quality. Make sure voices go with mouth movement. Check in several different places.. For example, the starting, middle and near end of the movie.

    3. You have to turn the files into VOB format to burn to DVD. Use either ConvertXtoDVD or Movie DVD Maker. Both of them will create a folder with the converted files.

    4. Now you use DVD Shrink to burn DVD. Select Open Files, select folder where the converted files were placed. Be sure to burn at the SLOWEST speed your DVD burner will burn. It helps with the final quality of DVD.

    Ripping DVDs
    1. You should have patin-couffin and AnyDVD running

    2. Open DVD Shrink and select Open Disc. You can try to back up the whole DVD if you want to. Look at the compression level. If it is less than 60%, it will not be a good copy. To backup Movie only, select Re-Author. Drag the movie from right window side to the window on left. Select Backup / Select Region Free / Quality Settings- Select both options if not grayed out / Options- Select what you want here / Burn Settings – Enter Volume Name, Select slowest burn speed to help with quality / Click OK.

The above article is the same as the tutorial file which you can download below. The tutorial doesn’t have the download links to the files. So I’ve gone an extra mile to search the download links for you. If you still want to have the tutorial file, you can download below.

  • Poseidon Movie

    Poseidon Movie
CinemaOnline has 3.5 out of 5 stars for this movie and IMDb currently has a 5.6 out of 10 from only 838 votes. For me, I’d personally give this movie a 2.5 out of 5 stars. I don’t know why but before I watch this movie, I thought it was going to be really great. However, the whole movie is about the characters trying to escape from the sinking ship and obviously someone is going to make it out alive. The computer effects were only OK because from starting, I noticed that the computer effects were quite obvious.

    Poseidon Movie

    Synopsis

A remake of the 1972 disaster classic, The Poseidon Adventure, Poseidon Adventure combines the elements of high-sea adventure, suspense, action and drama. When a rogue wave capsizes a luxury cruise ship in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, a small group of survivors find themselves unlikely allies in a battle for their lives.

An individualistic, rule-breaking career gambler John Dylan (Josh Lucas), a desperate father (Kurt Russell) searching for his daughter (Emmy Rossum) and her fiance (Mike Vogel), a single mother (Jacinda Barrett) and her wise-beyond-his-years son (Jimmy Bennett), an anxious stowaway (Mia Maestro) and a despondent fellow passenger (Richard Dreyfuss) come together in the fateful turn of events. As the unstable vessel rapidly fills with water, each must draw on skills and strengths they didn’t even know they possessed, fighting against time for their own survival and for each other.

    Doom, the movie
Yes, I am a movie freak. I went to watch Doom, the movie last Saturday.
If you like the game, Doom, you should definitely watch this movie. I remembered playing Doom many years ago… about 7-8 years ago if I’m not mistaken.
Cinema Online gave this movie 3.5/5 and IMDb gave 5.8/10 out of 619 votes.

    Doom, the movie
    Review by Ian Yap
‘DOOM’ was the game; THE game (yes, I said it twice), much like how ‘Counterstrike’ is THE game now in all but the most obscure cybercafes that have popped up like white toadstools after a rainy night. Back in ‘DOOM’s’ time we had no cybercafes, no fancy computers.. man, some of us didn’t even have a mouse! But we had ‘DOOM’, and ‘DOOM’ was good. Thinking back, it’s really sad how even the best of things fade away, devoured by that vicious thing that is time.
Somehow, time spat ‘DOOM’ back at us, all shiny, polished and plastered tall and proud on the silver screen. No way was anyone going to stop me from watching this; and no one did. Nothing stands between a maddened fanboy and his DOOM.

Off I scooted to the cinema, reminiscing hordes of pink monsters, chainsaws and the cynical bursts of laughter I explode into every time I killed someone (in ‘DOOM’). I was drifting from reality, and 10 minutes into the movie, I knew I was going to watch a live action computer game. So I left the real world outside with the cinema usher and rewound my mentality a good decade BACKWARDS.

Let’s see, how did ‘DOOM’ entertain a geeky teenager?

    Monsters? Check.
    Marines? Check.
    Big guns? Check.
    Damsels? Check.
Now we’re all set, Lets GO!

    But wait.

This isn’t a game, it’s a movie. Rats. Now they’ve got to think of a plot.

In the distant future, mankind has found their way to Mars, and a research centre has been built to conduct archaeological work on the red planet. Then, after an amazing amount of time they discover the meaning of life and mankind lives happily forever in peace and harmony.

    Just joking.

Too dandy and picture perfect, isn’t it?

Back to the real plot, a distress call is sent to Earth as something rends and tears at the scientists in a shady sector of the Mars base. Enter the marines. Led by Sarge (The Rock), they comprise of armed, armoured mounds of flesh with attitude and testosterone overflowing right out of their ears. There’s the shrew, the rookie, the hulk, the one with an emotionally complicated past, the one that doesn’t talk, etc etc. There are eight of them; try to think of every clichéd action character you’ve ever seen and you’ll fill in the gaps I left.

Off they go to Mars, to rescue the poor helpless scientists; lugging every conceivable weapon known to ‘DOOM’-kind. Chain guns, shotguns, plasma rifles. Even the classic BFG (short for *ahem* Bio Force Gun) makes its appearance.

Let’s not go on thinking this show ends up like “Starship Troopers”. Stupid senseless blasting was left out and Mr. Bartkowiak took the creepy thriller approach of “Alien” instead. Corridors are dark and filthy, shadows melt and dash away and growls grow and fade as the marines hunt an enemy they can’t call human.

The Rock played his role rather well; his commanding presence was a certain plus when it came to him barking orders at his subordinates, although I did feel like his choice of words were slightly off, but that’s probably just me. Karl Urban plays Reaper, whose parents died at the base many years ago, the same base his sister Samantha (Pike) works at. The conflict between the brother who turned his back on science and the sister who didn’t adds a little drama amongst the flurry of bullets and claws, and eventually plays an important role in the plot. As for the other marines, well… let’s just say they didn’t live long enough for me to skewer their acting or characters.

I’ve also nothing to peeve about the evil monsters, what with the same bunch of chaps who designed the aliens in “Alien”, this time adding in a whole lot of darkness. What comes out of the cooking pot? Something you DON’T want to meet in a dark alley at night.

Just watch out for the first-person shooter scene. The madmen that directed the show put a camera somewhere on Reaper’s head and had him roam the corridors looking for his sister, blasting monsters at the same time. Straight out of what you’d see on the computer screen. Freaky.

There’s no reason any ‘DOOM’-loving person would NOT want to watch the show, the shower of nostalgia is well worth the ten bucks, just… don’t bring your spouse.

Just watched Cinderella Man, the movie last night and it was OK. There are already so many boxing movies such as Rocky from Stallone, Ali from Will Smith, Million Dollar Baby.

Jim Braddock (Russell Crowe), a once-promising light heavyweight boxer was forced into retirement after a string of losses in the ring. As the nation enters the darkest years of the Great Depression, Braddock accepts a string of dead-end jobs to support his wife, Mae (Renée Zellweger), and their children, while never totally abandoning his dream of boxing again. Thanks to a last minute cancellation, Braddock finds himself back in the ring against the second-ranked world contender.
    Cinderella Man
This movie amazingly being rated 8.0/10 by 9,014 votes at IMDb.
Even Cinema Online gave 4/5 for Cinderella Man.

Overall, Russell Crowe born in New Zealand and Renée Zellweger from Katy, Texas, USA put up quite a good movie.
For boxing movie, I personally liked Million Dollar Baby the most because it was very touching at the end instead of a expected normal “Happy Ending”.
